Ni-Hao and Welcome to SACAS

 

SACAS is a support group for families with adopted children of Chinese Heritage and those waiting to adopt a child of Chinese Heritage.  Since its foundation in 2004, SACAS has developed into an award winning and fully incorporated community group. The SACAS Vision, Mission and Objectives are outlined in its Constitution.  The SACAS logo incorporates the Chinese Characters for "Adoption" or "Shou-Yang", a Lady-Bug and a Red Thread.  In recent times, Lady-Bugs have become a lucky symbol for the Chinese Adoption Community.  In more ancient times, the Chinese believed that:

 

"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place or circumstance.  The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break.”

 

Many adoptive parents share this belief and some wear “red-thread” bracelets to symbolise the destiny that brought them all together as a family.  SACAS has many events and a growing range of services.  So why not join our supportive and fun community.
